Frederick KiDDS Pediatric Dentistry’s mission is to equip our patients to take charge of their own oral health. We aim to do this through effective communication, patient-centered education, and compassionate care.

Communication

Through the use of the latest digital x-rays, intraoral pictures, tooth models and procedural videos, parents can be assured that they are aware of the oral health status of their child’s mouth. In the event of cavities or dental problems all procedures are explained and demonstrated wherever possible so that everyone is well prepared for dental treatment visit.

Patient-Centered Education

Oral health goes beyond the type of toothpaste and toothbrush one chooses to use. Rather, the focus must shift to a child’s risk for dental disease, their nutrition, and the development of good daily habits. Since each child’s needs are different, there is no one size fits all approach to caries prevention and treatment, thus each dental action plan is custom tailored for each of our patients.

Compassionate Care

It’s an unfortunate fact that cavities, dental injuries, and oral problems can and will happen and that it can be an unnerving experience for both parent and child. Dr. Dee has four young children of her own that have already had their share of dental trauma so she understands what it’s like to be in the parent’s seat. As such, she and her staff treat each child the way they would their own children – with patience, gentleness, and respect.
